Jeff Jank - JUST GOT BORN (via Vimeo)
here’s a random ass video embeded in a myspace bulletin from DOOM earlier this morning. i have no idea what it’s for, but DOOM’s mask can be seen at :33 and it was uploaded by jeff jank, pbw’s art director. what is it’s significance? i have no clue, it could just be a test video, but you’ll be the first to know when i do find out.

Video Directed & Animated by James Reitano.
I know quite a few of you may be indifferent to this song, but I’d just like to note how expansive Stones Throw’s arsenal in the art department has gotten over the years. James Reitano has done a few of the memorable animated music videos for some of the major Stones Throw releases over the years—he’s done Quasimoto’s Bullyshit, Madvillain’s ALL CAPS, and some other Adult Swim shorts I’m sure you’ve all have seen. Check out his YouTube Channel for more.
All you street wear fanatics should be familiar with the Dutch artist Parra, with his hand-drawn fonts and human-bird oddities. I was first introduced to his artwork with the ST tour headphone t-shirts, and then followed up with James Pant’s “Welcome” cover art. Recently there’s been some copycats out there, trying to sell Parra-knockoffs. If you’d like to see more of his stuff, check out Rockwell Clothing.
And last but not least, we cannot forget Jeff Jank—the head honcho himself. He’s the Francis Wolff of Stones Throw Records and set the bar pretty high for cover art (and art direction) in the independent music scene. If you’d like to see more just check out the ST catalog.
