Man, was this a great show or what? We had DJ Flow & DJ Chef Boy R.D. come through & spin in studio & they both killed it! We also spent some time talking about the whole TUS to LA campaign. So one of my biggest projects that I am very excited about is of course the long awaited release of my group “The City Lights” full length original LP….it’s in very early stages but with the recent “buzz” & with the work from last year coming back around, it looks like we have a solid line up of production and a good fan base / market to potentially distribute through….we just did a photo shoot & we are about to release our 3rd mixtape entitled “Industry Ill’s vol. 1 (produced by 6th Sense)” for an illroots.com mixtape competition.

One of Double D’s first posts was about one of our friends. Our homie Uptown Swuite entered a contest a few months ago and got over this ill-ass Jake One beat. Unfortunately he only placed in the top 5 but he was easily the dopest MC over the sickest beat! Time has passed but his hard work and commitment has not…do not sleep on this dude…everytime I hear him I am amazed…his crew, City Lights alongside Ant Chedda and DJ Flow, have been on the World Famous Wake-Up Show Multiple times and are getting recognized on a higher level. Is ‘09 the year??? Who knows? I hope to post new shit soon!!!
