Here’s some international love for one of our Greek readers, Panagiotis Melidis aka Larry Gus, and his album Stitches which hit album of the month in Greece’s Vice Magazine. I won’t lie, I was expecting a wave of slang-ridden Greek vernacular (apparently, larigas: greek for throat, or larynx) but wound up with an ear full of drum breaks and the sweet sound of record-crackled samples — but don’t let that fool you, his relationship with music flourishes as a grad student at the Music Technology Group of the University of Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND

First and foremost, I’d like to thank double D for helpin me out these past couple of weeks, It’s much appreciated. Also thank you to my homey’s Alama and Tenika for letting me do this again! This project was one that really got me going again. Imagination wise. It got my juices flowing. Not to mention the movie goers praising the work I do. It just give me the reason to do it again. What was really motivational is that some people actually started following my work. My brother was telling me that some of his badminton team he coaches have pictures of my paintings I’ve done in the past! Also, a graffiti artist, mochi, she also came up to me one day and was very interested in my work. She saw my other promo paintings and asked me for my autograph! HA just playin’. But she did want to see more of my pieces. I actually would have liked to see what she does, but I couldn’t find her anywhere on the internet. Oh well. But anyway, go watch that video.
